Saree Care Guide Thoughtful care helps preserve the colour, texture, and craftsmanship of your Sudhaasini saree for years to come. Silk, Tussar, Wool & Delicate Fabrics Dry clean only to preserve the fabric's natural texture, sheen, and longevity. Use a lining or reinforce seams when stitching blouses or garments made from delicate fabrics. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid direct exposure to perfumes, deodorants, and harsh chemicals. Cotton Sarees Hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not soak; use a gentle dip wash only. Dry in the shade to retain colour and protect delicate fibres and prints. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric. Khadi, Embellished & Ready-to-Wear Garments Dry clean only. Handle embroidery and embellishments gently to prevent snagging or damage. Natural Dyes & Colours Our pigments and overdyes are made from natural and organic ingredients. Gradual fading is a natural characteristic of authentic dyes and adds to the beauty of the fabric. Colours may bleed slightly during the first few washes or due to perspiration; this is not a manufacturing defect. Always wash dark and light colours separately. Handcrafted Excellence Every weave and print is individually handcrafted. Minor variations in weave, texture, print, or colour reflect the artisan's craftsmanship and should not be considered defects. Zari Care Protect genuine zari from moisture and humidity. Store the saree wrapped in clean white mulmul or muslin cloth. During monsoon, air the saree periodically to prevent moisture buildup. Natural oxidation or darkening of real zari may occur over time. Natural Fibre Characteristics Pilling in cotton, silk, and wool can occur naturally through regular use. It is an inherent characteristic of natural yarns and is not considered a defect. Storage Fold sarees neatly and refold them periodically to prevent permanent creases. Use a breathable cotton or muslin bag instead of a plastic cover. Keep sarees away from prolonged sunlight, dampness, and excessive humidity. Air sarees occasionally, especially when stored for long periods. Ironing Use low to medium heat appropriate for the fabric. Iron delicate fabrics on the reverse side or under a clean pressing cloth.
